A description of my station
For the VHF bands and higher I use a Yaesu FT-847 with a Daimond V2000 vertical antenna for 6 meter/2 meter and 70 centimeter. I can also transmit horizontal polarized with a 3 element home made yagi antenna for the 6 meter band (50 MHz) for 2 meter (144 MHz) with a 9 element yagi from Tonna and for the 70 centimeter band (430 MHz) a 19 element yagi from Tonna.I also have a 35 element yagi antenna in the mast for the 23 centimeter (1200 MHz) amateur band. I do not presently operate in this band but am planning to do so in the future
The maximum power is 100 Watt on 6 meter, 50 Watt for 2 meter and 40 Watt for the 70 centimeter band. For the HF bands I use an Yaesu FT-1000MP Mark-V. The maximum power is 200 Watt. The antennas I use are a Windom wire antenna for 80 to 10 meter, an Antron A99 vertical for 15 to 10 meter and a 3 element minibeam for 20, 15 and 10 meter, the latter will be shortly replaced by a FB23 from Fritzel.Further I use a computer to store all the data in a logbook and also in digital modes like BPSK31 and RTTY (telex).

-My Station
My radio “shack” is located in my attic.
That is where my equipment is that I use to work the various bands. For shortwave bands I use a Yaesu FT1000MP Mark V transceiver. This set can deliver 200 watts of power and is suited for the 160 up to and including the 10 meter band (see www.va3cr.net). To work the 6 meter band I have a transverter from Yaesu, the FTV1000. With this apparatus I can develop 200 watts on the 6 meter band (see http://www.rigpix.com/transverters/vaesu/ftv1000.htm).For the 2 meter band and the 70 centimeter band I use a Yaesu ft 847. This is a multiband set which has all the amateur bands on board from 160 meter up to and including the 70 centimeter band. This is the set that I take with me on vacation as it is compact and has all kinds of interesting features (see http://www.rigpix.com/vaesu/ft847:htm). In order to adapt the antenna I placed a Yaesu fc 20 antenna tuner on the antenna (see http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamtune/0582.html).I have 2 desktop microphones in my shack: a Yaesu MD200 with as extra a Heilsound HC-4 element for better sound. I use this for the FT1000 MARC (see http://www.qsl.net/wa9als/md200a8x.htm). The other microphone is a Yaesu MD100, which is connected to the ft 847 (see http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/vics/0287.html).For mobile use I have a Yaesu ft 7800R (see http://www.vaesu.com/indexVS.cfm?cmd=DisplayProducts&ProdCatID=106&encProdID=QYjsxzj0SY%3D&DivisionID=65&cisArchived=0).

-Here are the antennas that I presently use:
Hf: Windom Fritzel FD4 (see http://www.hofi.de/pdf/Dracht Antennen.pdf).
3 elements mini Beam 2000 (see www.zx-vagi.com).Shortly, I am going to replace the mini-beam with a Fritszel FB 13, 2 element Beam for 10, 15 and 20 meter (see http://www.hofi.de/pdf/Beams_10_15_20_40 m.pdf).For 6 meter use I have a home made 3 element beam and a Diamond V2000 vertical antenna (see http://www.diamond-ant,jp/ama2/eng_ama_2_2_5.asp).For 2 meter use I have a Tonna 9 element horizontal polarized yagi antenna (see www.f9ft.com), and vertical a Diamond V2000 (see http://www.diamond-ant.jp/ama2/eng_ama_2_2_5.asp).For 70 centimeter use I have a 19 element Tonna antennahorizontal polarized (see www.f9ft.com), and vertical again the Diamond V2000 (see http://www.diamond-ant.jp/ama2/eng_ama__2_2_5,asp).
